Dear friends and non-friends, comrades, non-comrades, phase angels!

Alienation Index is here, and we are happy to inform you that our first release with article number zero is officially OUT.

For the second one, which will be the official first, we are going to dive after something very special - a constituent body - a magi’s assemblage - a compilation of works on the topic we are concerned most in our occult group / record label which is becoming, and more particularly - becoming alien.

We are thrilled to set forth an OPEN CALL for the next Alienation Index release!

We are looking for works that would liberate us from our presuppositions of ourselves and the form itself and, in doing so, would unveil something alien within - just like sound unveils traces of sonorous..

We are looking for works that go beyond conformational frameworks.

Sonically, they may appear as non-idiomatic improvisations, concrete music, acousmatic, electroacoustic, experimental electronics, noise, field recordings, digital glitches, or/and anything one would call non-music. But aside from sound, we are open to visual contributions and various media.

With this gathering, we aim to create a collective art piece that reflects on the alien/stranger theme from multiple perspectives, forming a sort of constellation with them.

The resulting assemblage will be digitally rendered as a virtual audio-visual installation within a space of our site and published in digital format on Subvert and Bandcamp, with corresponding materials that recover artistic processes, concepts, scores, notes, and artworks.

Besides that, we hope to organise some live events around occurring sequences of art mutations and to build a supportive community of strangers.

To apply, please send a download link to one previously unpublished track (you can use any file transfer, such as Wetransfer, Google Drive, etc.) with the information you would like to provide: name, description, materials, technique, artist’s bio, links, and so to alienationindex{@}gmail{.}com

or through the form below.

We consider works without any information as well; yet, we are open to and curious about your conceptual framework, visual art, or anything you would add to accompany this work.

The track should be 1-10 min long, 44.1 kHz, 16-bit stereo WAV format. Ambisonic works should be rendered as binaural stereo.

Thank you!

The deadline is fluid. We plan to start the post-production phase in summer. Yet, there is no final point till the moment of the actualisation of the whole assemblage - when composition itself by its form would articulate its effectuation and closure.

Would you join us?

Hope to hear you there!

Thank you!
