INDEX

ALIENATION

Alienation Index is an art collective,

a speculative research unit, a curatorial platform, and a record label focusing on intermedia art and experimental music.

Operating at the intersection of digital technologies and the embodied presence of performative art, the project examines how various interdisciplinary practices can reconfigure aesthetic and social boundaries, mediating experiences of alterity and transformation.

The title can be seen through the lens of the multiple conceptual strata as a fluctuating tension between systems and subjects, oppression and emancipation, social dissonance and possible transmutation. Still, also, Alienation Index appears as a trace of something that always eludes recognition and codification, something that (in the sonic area) we would call a sonorous outplace.
